Indian shares erased weekly gains as declines in Housing Development Finance Corp and HDFC Bank caused weakness in financial stocks. The Nifty 50 closed 1.02% lower at 18,069 and the S&P BSE Sensex lost 1.13% to 61,054. Financials stocks fell 2.34%, the worst single-day drop in over three months.
